North Star 🌟 – Ursa Major – Swastika

Polaris ध्रुव तारा is close to earth’s North Pole hence also called Pole Star. Pole Star, is the brightest member star in the constellation of Ursa Minor.

In ancient times, North Pole was used for navigation.

North Star is in almost straight line to the Big dipper’s Merak (β) and Dubhe (α) useful for celestial navigation.

n
Big Dipper (Ursa major) can be seen revolving north pole throughout the year.

n

If we combine all the four seasonal position of Ursa Major w.r.t. Polaris

Do you find some meaningful picture? Doesn’t this like ‘Swastika’

Adding few connectors and it looks like this & Leaving question whether Swastika ( 卐 ) in the form as we know was inspired by this beautiful constellation guiding us for thousands of years. 👇
Amazing!!
